How to apply

   Create your account

   Register on the official Egypt e-Visa portal with your email address and confirm your account, then log in to begin.

   Start your application

   Select Apply Now, choose the visa type (single entry or multiple entry) and read the instructions carefully before continuing.

   Complete the application form

   Enter your personal and passport details and travel information exactly as they appear on your passport, and upload the required documents.

   Pay the fees

   Pay online using a Visa, MasterCard, or other accepted card; you will pay the government visa fee plus our service fee, with the full total shown clearly before you confirm payment.

   Wait for the decision by email

   Your application is processed electronically and you will be notified of the result by email; apply at least 7 days before departure.

   Download, print, and travel

   Once approved, log in to download and print your e-Visa, then present the printed copy with your passport to the immigration officer on arrival.

After you apply & on arrival

• After you submit and pay, your application is reviewed by the Egyptian authorities, and a decision is normally returned by email and shown in your portal account; the official guidance is to allow at least 7 working days, so apply well before departure even though approvals are often faster.
• Track your application by logging into the official portal (visa2egypt.gov.eg) with your registered email and password and checking the status on your dashboard.
• An 'Under Process' (pending) status means your application is still being reviewed and no decision has been made yet.
• An 'Approved' (granted) status means your e-Visa has been issued and you can download it as a PDF from your account.
• A 'Rejected' status means your application has been refused, and the notification email should explain the reason so you can correct it.
• If your application is refused or has errors or missing information, you can fix the problem and submit a new application, making sure all details are accurate and including any additional documents requested.
• Watch your email (including spam/junk folders) for messages from the portal, as notifications about approval, rejection, or requests for corrected or re-uploaded documents are sent there.
• Once approved, download the e-Visa PDF and print it; printing it in colour and carrying the printed copy is recommended.
• Carry the printed e-Visa together with the original passport you used in the application when you travel, and keep both ready to present at the border.
• On arrival, use a designated/approved port of entry only, and present your printed e-Visa and original passport to the immigration officer.
• Expect standard immigration checks at the border, which can include document verification and biometric or photo capture, and be ready to answer questions about the purpose and length of your stay.
• Understand that the e-Visa is an authorization to travel and seek entry, not a guarantee of admission: the immigration officer at the port makes the final decision on whether you are admitted.
• Keep your entry stamp and visa documents safe during your trip, because customs and immigration officials review your entry visa stamp when you leave the country.
• On exit, depart through a designated port and present your passport with the entry stamp; if your passport is lost or replaced during the trip, obtain the necessary replacement entry stamp from the relevant Egyptian government office before departing.

• A clear digital scan or photo of the personal-information (bio-data) page of your passport.
• A valid email address where you can receive your e-Visa and application updates.
• A debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or other accepted cards) to pay online.
• Your travel details, including intended arrival date and the address or accommodation where you will be staying in Egypt.
• Apply at least 7 days before your departure to allow enough time for processing, and ideally earlier to cover any unexpected delays.
• Make sure all the information you enter matches your passport exactly, as errors can lead to delays or refusal of entry.
