Kenya replaced its traditional visa with a mandatory Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) in 2024. All visitors — including from previously visa-exempt countries — must obtain an approved eTA before travel. We help you fill, review and submit through the official portal.
The Electronic Travel Authorisation is the only travel document Kenya currently issues for short-stay visitors. It allows tourism, business meetings, conference attendance, family visits and medical visits for up to 90 days per entry. It is single entry by default.
The Department of Immigration commits to a 3 working-day decision window. Decisions typically land in 3–5 working days. We recommend submitting at least 7 working days before your intended entry. The eTA is delivered by email — print it and carry it with your passport.
