The Vietnam e-Visa is available to most nationalities for tourism and business. This guide lists exactly what you need before you apply.
Passport requirements
- Valid for at least six months beyond your planned entry date.
- At least one blank page for stamps.
- A clear scan of the bio (photo) page.
Photo requirements
You'll need a recent, passport-style photo: plain background, full face, neutral expression, no glasses or head coverings (except for religious reasons). A clear phone photo in good light is fine if it meets these rules.
Single vs multiple entry
The Vietnam e-Visa comes in single-entry and multiple-entry options. Choose multiple entry if you plan to leave and re-enter Vietnam (for example, a side trip to Cambodia) within your validity period.

- Your intended date of entry and exit.
- Your port of entry (airport, land or sea).
- Accommodation address for your first night.
Processing time
Standard processing usually takes a few business days; faster tiers are available if you're short on time. Apply at least a week before departure to be safe.
